Ash was used by ancient Egyptions as a key component
of Glass. The Original Mount St. Helens Volcanic Ash
Glassworks has been making glass art from ash since
1980. They lost their lease last year and closed their
studio. However, the gift shop at The Forest Learning
Center purchased the last of their collectible art and
feature it at the Forest Learning Center as long as it lasts.
